Derived from cornstarch, the world’s most annually renewable resource, polylactic acid or polylactide (referred to as PLA) provides a 100% biodegradable & compostable plastic lining for our Eco Cups. The production of our Eco Cups emits less CO2 compared to the production of traditional oil based coffee cups.
Eco Cups are produced by nature. We recommend that our Eco Cups be composted at the end of their life. In a commercial composting facility the Eco Cup will decompose and break down allowing the product lifecycle to begin again.
